I was recently recommended these two different systems b/c I'm on a budget of no more than $650.00. I thank this guy for helping me out and I'm pretty sure I'm going for what he recommended but I just wanted to post his two suggestions and get yalls feedback. If you think there is anything I can get for around the same price that is either better/louder/whatever then let me know!

    1st system:

    Head unit. Pioneer DEHP3000
    Front Components - Pioneer TSD-1320 5.25" comps
    4 Channel amplifier - Cadence iA4
    12" sub - (1) Pioneer TS-W307D2
    Wiring kit - Rockford RFK8X

    2nd system:

Phoenix Gold 6x9s and 5.25 components. 2-10" phoenix gold V5C subs
Clarion DB185mp radio, 4 channel clarion apx4241 amp and mono sub amp clarion apx1301

As you can see one is a bigger system but the other is much better quality. Which one do you reccomend I get and should I change anything?
    Metra Wire kit

what forum did you get the help on?

Personally, i don't really like pioneer their component speakers or their subs. Their head units are great though.

    Cadence is ok.

I like the 2nd option better. PG makes some good stuff but, i wouldn't go near a clarion stereo and i don't know much about their newer amps anymore if they are good.

budget for $650 with head unit. let me look around, i bet i could come up with something better...

This is going into a Nissan Altima, I was actually wondering if I could fit two 6X9 speakers into my budget bc my 05 Altima has stock everything and I know that those two back speakers aren't gonna sound that great.

now that you know what you wanna get how about we work on the box. what are the basic dimensions of the trunk? (LxWXH) we can either make it real loud or sound pretty good. do you prefer ported or sealed?

actually, u dont even really need rear speakers, i dont have any in my car at all. if i were you, i would just keep the stock ones in their for rear fill. you should barely even be able to hear them.

what he said^^^^. you can save some money by running the stock rears off of the radio, but be sure to isolate them from the same air space as the subs. the pressure of the bass can and will rip them apart.

the same air space? *is confused*

also, I was just lookin at that mono amp that johny reccomended and it only says like xxxrms x 1 at 4 ohm, xxxrms x 1 at 2 ohms....how am I supposed to hook up to subs to that amp?

he meant to make a box around the 6x9's if u do decide to use them, i would personally scrap them and use the holes as passages for the sound and air to come through, that is what i did. if u dont use boxes around them, the pressure in the trunk from the subs would push the deck speakers' cones apart and ruin them. i find it easier and better (cause i want bass) to get rid of them.

also, you want to hook ure subs up into 2 ohms. like the first option

alrite so if i decide to use the 6x9s and run them off of the head unit i still need to make a box? what kind of box? ive never heard of that. and thanks for that link, so i should wire both subs in 2 ohms? and is that amp going to be able to fully power both of those subs?
