    are u doubting me CC?!?!?

lol nah im just playin. it will work. i want it stealth in the doors tho, so if i take the door panel an put the speaker behind it then cut a hole in the door panel with carpet over it, will it still sound ok and not muffle the sound?

regular carpet can muffle the sound so look for acoustically transparent carpet.

it would be better to mount the mids on something solid like maybe 1/2 in mdf.

craft store maybe. or thin carpet may work.

k well the thing is that its about 5 inches between the bottom of the armrest and the bottom of the door panel. so i was gonna cut a relief in the door panel for the sound to go through and put carpet over it and then have the speaker in the hole in the door.

not doubting you at all but it ain't going to be easy. i wouldn't have the patience for that. lol

you could go with some speaker cloth if you wanted to do it that way. it would look nice too.

why put it so low? what about the near the place where you can roll down the window near the door handle? it may look a lot cleaner there and the speaker will be in a better listening position.

it will hurt the coor panel. but i guess u have a point. i never plan to sell it, but the eD comps dont have grills

how about a simple kick panel. get some cardboard and mock up a plate.

i think just a front plate the shape of the corner screwed to the floor can work till you find a permanent place.

right in the bottom corner of the floor. only problem with kicks is, you don't get very good midbass from them. but that is a good idea pedro.

true, your right on that one. and you won't have to tear up the door panels.

Jonny, what you can do is FG the kick panels. i think there's a tutorial on it. l'll search for it...
