Power locks only work for 2 driver side doors...

Fuses? ? ? or maybe your switches are burnt out on that side.

 

im sure its the switches then try to test them. get a test light, pull off the door panel, and find the one side of the switch that always has power to it, remember that one and then try to find another hot wire when the switch is pushed each way. if there is only one hot wire then go to a junk yard and get new ones or get brand new ones from the parts store, its cheaper from the salvage yard tho. You have a civic, parts will be cheap. if no hot at all, then ure problem is somewhere else.

Whoa woah woah, test lights unfortunately shouldn't be used for anything but fuses you will fry your pcm if you do.

If it was a bad switch, none of the locks would work at all and none of them would do what they were supposed to. My assumption is either a bad power door lock control unit or two bad actuators.

When doing these... inspect the wires the entire time

What you will want to do is start at your fuse box and follow the wire from your power lock fuse to your power door lock control unit. (Gray box with wires coming out of it)

Then follow that to the first actuator. When you get to that first actuator you will notice another wire coming off of that same wire that runs to the actuator.

If it doesn't and just runs straight to the actuator then follow the other side and you will eventually end up at that splice.

Follow it, it will take you to the other actuators. There will be two splices running off of that wire, those are the positive sides of the other actuators and the wire that was spliced off of will go to the last actuator make sure that all of these wires are good and connected to the actuators, then check the ground sides teh actuators will be spliced into the ground wire that runs from the first splice to the power door lock control unit.

If all of the wires are connected than it is time to do the ghetto ohm test.

What you do is switch positions of your drivers side door locks with your passenger door locks, and if your passenger doors start working and the drivers side doesn't than it is just your actuators, but if your drivers side still does and your passenger side still doesn't work

Than it is your power door lock control module.

A new one is about 20 bucks and can be installed in no time. Finding the problem will be time consuming but you can do it with patience.

Personally I suggest switching your actuators first, because if the working sides reverse, than you have just saved yourself a bunch of time, but if they do nothing than you need to start looking for wires as I have told you above. If all wires are kosher than boom you know your problem.

here is the wiring diagram, it isn't the exact same year, but generally automakers wire different year models in very similar fashions.

hey im 19 so dont feel alone haha. sounds like you may be in a little over your head with this issue so maybe you could take it to a garage and have them check it out.

 

too be honest i just wanted to say i was 19 and still have something that applied to the thread. i feel ya on not wanting to spend any money and doing it yourself. tyrant should def. be able to help ya out. hes worked wonders haha

 

ya tyrant is going to school to be an auto tech so he knows his stuff. and hell, i have nothing power in my car except the driverside mirror and it barely works. o and i added an electric fan... lol

 

why do you think that I don't have power anything in my car, haha I'm not really all that great with most stuff I just happen to know my stuff when It comes to electrical

 

Okay, here is what I want you to do, Pop off your drivers side door panel. be gentle because you don't want to break stuff, and then play with the door lock, pushing it down and up. Then follow those bars to a little object that should be a off white plastic square. That is your door lock actuator. Then follow the cords that are attached to it back to a blue or grey box with a harness coming out of it. That is your power door lock control module.

Oh yeah that thing under your dash is your blower motor, basically it is what allows your ac/heater fan to operate at different speeds.

Have some fun and pull it while the fan is on, you will see that it will quit working.
