I had asked about "best bang for the buck" subs a while ago, and some of you recommended an Elemetal Designs 13Kv.2 Sub, for $100. I'm still strongly considering them... have them saved in my favorites, and look at them about 3 times a day ;-) LOL I then found this JL Audio 13.5" on Sonix, for only $109.... of course they are out of stock :-( But here they are on Crutchfield.com.... I don't believe these are the "JL Audio subs" which has made JL so popular.... but I really like the specs + the recommended wattage of 350 RMS is "exactly" what I have to give to two of them, wired for a 2 ohm load. $109 is a GREAT price ! $169.... well.... http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=520&i=13613W1V24&tp=111 BTW, I actually "like" that these are recommended in a larger 2.625 cu. ft. (each) tuned vented enclosure {whereas the 13Kv.2 Subs only ask for 1.5 each} because for one, they will look more impressive Two, I have more space in the back of my Super cab (seats removed) than I know what to do with anyway.... not to mention the worlds largest trunk... a tall, 6 1/2ft bed, with a fiberglass bed-cover. Opinions please, Thanks, Fish
However..... why can't I find the JL Audio website ? All the links (except the one for overseas) can't be found ??? Hmmm, Fish
Your right fish I tried also and just get blank pages, maybe there is a server down somewhere, try again tomorrow.
hey, went on a trip then have been using all my spare time making music for the cbc contest i'm in, and hustling bikes lol. Been keeping everyone under control for me? lol How's the box?
Thank you Electro... I'm thinking that jlaudio.com must have been the url for their old pages, whereas their new pages are now mobile.jlaudio.com Anyway, I checked out those Jl's I was looking at, and I think they might be just a touch light for my purposes..... then, the next series up are pretty much out of my price range + maybe just a touch higher power rated than I really need. I'll tell you, I keep looking at a lot of different subs, and so far, I can see why a lot of guys here say the Elemental Designs 13Kv2 is such a great buy. Thanks again though, Saved that link in my favorites, Fish
