the box could flex causing that bass energy to be wasted. cancellation?

then the box could break over time.

I don't see how it can flex but i don't have experience to say. You could do this and it won't have a chance of moving, use wood glue and screws. Might as well make it solid you went this far.

just asked cuz it's already assembled. I may have a hard time putting the braces in but I'll give it a shot today

without bracing, over time it would/could tear itself apart.

When i was looking at the box when i made it i knew I should have put some kind of bracing in it but i was afraid it would have messed with the volume of the box and throw things off.

electro, do you think the bracing you suggested would be sufficient? or should I brace from front to back then top to bottom as well?

the only real problem is your front baffle because you cut two large holes in it for the subs and the holes for the ports. therefore its weakened. any of our ideas would work. they all accomplish the same thing.

ok, great. cuz electro's sample looks a bit easier to do because like i said, the box is already assembled, glued, tacked and screwed. Get that done today so I can test it tomorrow. Thanks for the advice!

if you ever plan to build another box you could also look into using a double baffle.

double baffle? meaning having two separate chambers? one for each sub?

hey, not done yet? Double baffle is two front panels where the subs are mounted. Double thickness. My internet is down i'm at a buddies now. I think it will be fine if you brace the front at least, the rest looks very solid to me.

i'm 100% positive it will hold up. double baffles are more important when you have heavier subs.

"push that n......push that hoe" everyone uses that track for bassrace and bassboxing.

learned a few tricks. did you know that if you lean the passenger seat forward you change your freq.? can= as much as .4 db's. (well in my friends truck it will)
