Front http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7755_Focal+165+A1.html Rear http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=17545 Amp http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6663 How are soundstream amps? Clean, Durable, Reliable? How are the x-overs? (large enough range?) What wiring kit should I get? (budget : $50-$70) (Must be from http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductList.aspx?CategoryID=27 for free shipping on rear speakers) What 200rms sub can I get? Must clean and accurate. (~$100) Any suggestions for a completely new system? Budget $600. (amp (include sub chan.), wiring, front, and rear) or $700 including sub. Goal: Quality over Loudness (between 50-100rms a chan.)
Focals sound really great. Id try to stay with the same brand front and back. What kind of car is it going in? Soundstream amps are pretty decent and will get the job done. What size sub are you looking for, 10, 12, 15?
it dont matter what speakers they are, i mean matching wise... the just need to be about the same sensitivity.

So jonny are you saying that all speakers will sound the same as long as the sensitivity is equal?? He stated that he wanted quality over loudness, thats why I suggested the same brand all the way around. Different companies will use different materials in building speakers (titanium, silk, cotton in tweeters) which will give them all different sound qualities, thats why I suggested he use the same all the way around. Anyone else have a different opinion?
in my opinion it will sound just as good if u use the same quality speaker with the same sensitivity so one set doesnt overpower the others. But, i do agree with you too. Anyways, i like to match speakers just for their looks too.
given a choice i would go for matching brands too, yet i would chose a rear fill speaker with a slightly lower s/n ratio to lock my front stage torwards the front.
