keep in mind, this is with only 100w rms going to each sub, my amps wont be in until tues

 

i have 2 groups of 3 wired in parellel/series with a 2.67 ohm load on each group. the subs are only 300w rms each...lol but damn they pound in numbers

got my new UL amps today....i know this company has a rather bad rep, BUT there under new ownership now and its supposed to change (from what i understand) i will let you guys know what i think about them tomorrow when i get them in.

and a blown freebie i got from a buddy, needs 2 fets replaced, no biggie, **** amp is 24" wide.....also not the best brand but hey, you cant ***** about free right.....

 

nah, they will be ok, i have done the big 3, had my alt re-wound to 200 amps (tested at 184 @1000 rpm)

still only have one battery, but my alt should keep up for the most part, i will add a few batterys when im not poor....lol

when i build the wall, im gonna use whats left of the rear floorboard for a battery box, just 2 deep cycle marine batterys from interstate, there bigger than any optima i have seen, gell cell, and about 40.00 cheaper.
bastards weigh like 52lbs though....

the p/a amp will prolly go im momma's grocery getter w/ a 12" infinity kappa perfect

i have a 4th matching 4 channel ul amp coming for the mids, and will be starting fiberglass this/next weekend (weather permitting) its been hot as hell all week while im at work, but then it has rained on all my days off but 1 in the last 4 weeks....grrrrr annoying!

 

for now im running the subs in 2 sets of 3 wired parallel/series (both coils wired parallel on each sub, then each sub wired in series to obtain a 2.63 ohm load mono so right now, i am only running 2 amps, and it is FARKING LOUD!!

im thinking of keeping them wired this way when i do my wall and having 9 total instead of 8 like planned, the amps are almost a perfect match for the subs


funny thing happened....lol i was at work and i told one of the guys i work with that i finally got the new system threw in (literally thrown in) and how its for sure the loudest system i have ever had, and he said he was sure his 2 15"s were louder than my 12's because "12's SUCK"
so we went out on break, and i listened to his, it was fairly loud, come to find out they were old kickers, when i mean old i mean the mid 80s stillwater kickers with the word "kicker" in gold on the dustcap

i was like.....were did you get those fossils? he said "My uncle bought them new in the 90's because they were the best subs made"

i was like....ok...i dont know you might be louder than me.... im not sure, i'll let you decided

so we got in my car and i loaded up some little jon, turned the volume up to 14 and asked him what he though, we was like "you ALMOST have me beat, its pretty impressive for 12's" then i said "well, lets see if we can get it any louder, im not sure if i can"

so then i cranked it up to 34 (loudest i can go w/o distortion) and turned pause off

he JUMPED out of his skin and held his hands tight against his ears, he hit is elbow pretty hard on the door and said that it was the loudest system that he had ever heard since his, he's like man, you must be hitting in the mid 180's (his system "supposedly" hits 151db....bull****)


anyway, i though that was pretty funny
