I installed these yesterday. they don't sound very good. It's not the speakers-it's the way they're mounted. They aim the sound at my knees. If I duck my head down low, it's much better. The Ford speakers and no name tweets in the rear sound much better. I'm hesitant to put some components up front-the midrange will still be aimed the wrong way. What do you guys think? But it's not a total loss-they sound good with the rear as "fill". But on their own not so good. Here's photos. The Kenwood and the factory speaker. Before Dynamat. I should have put the Dynamat lower. And we're ready to rock.
Yes but it would be more work than i want to do. What do you have in the dash? I've read that car manufacturers don't know much about speaker placement and sound quality. I believe it.
