soundstorm amps are cheap for a reason. they suck! don't go near them.

Is your 10" L5 DVC 4ohm or 2ohm? I'm guessing from the amp you chose, it's a DVC 4ohm???

 

let us know how much you would like to spend on an amp for your sub and we can find something for you.

 

ya, most people r very uneducated and that is the only amp they have ever used. so its always the best on them. trust us, it will pay off if u just save your money and get a good amp. it will definately be worth it. commit to it and make yourself pay however much into the "amp fund" lol. if u have a spending problem like me, i have to keep mine in the bank so i dont use it lol. then when u get enough money take it out and splurge on a great amp, it will be louder, and better sounding, and it wont just suck balls period! lol

 

trust me on the soundstorm amp. It's not a good amp. I'll look around for a good for you. If you could bring that budget up a little we can find something decent...

 

I'm wondering if you have an ebay account? you can find a lot of amps (used) for cheap. I was able to buy 2 MTX amps for my wife's car and the two of them came under $100...

what kind you find for $75 shipped? I'm having a hard time finding something unless it's used...

 

kicker is the better brand, but dont buy an amp with a "bass knob" as the deciding factor, all a bass knob does is remotely adjust your gain, and you should only set your gain level at what it needs to be at, not just spike it for more bass, contrary to polular belief, the gain is NOT a volume knob, it is used to mhelp you match you decks output levels, if your gain is set considerably higher then your decks output, your amp will clip, and clipping an underpowered amp is worse than over powering your subs......YOU WILL BLOW THEM!

Both amps are good amps. The kicker would be perfect for your L5 10". Gives it 400 watts at 2ohms.

 

either will work fine.

or keep looking for an amp with speaker leads in. then you dont need the LOC.
