So, when I sell the jeep I'll start driving my 06' cobalt that I bought from my cousin. I was just wondering what everyones opionion on the BAZOOKA BT6024DVC I've heard some great things about it. But I need to know for sure, the system is stock, and I'd like to try and keep it that way when I head out for school in cali. With the exception of the sub that way I don't get broken into

Why not just put a sub and amp in there. Just keep it simple.

You won't have to change the stock stereo, just use a line output converter then you can hook an amp for the sub. Leave everything else stock. Not a very big job to do. It will sound way better than that bazooka would

THe only thing that worries me is the mounting issue, not knowing what kind of box to buy and with no time/skill to build one. Obviously If I'm just running one sub I can use a fairly low wattage amp right?

that's all you have to do. run 1 sub with a small amp. Just let us know what kind of budget you're working on and we can set you up with something. what kind of music do you listen to? do you want a sealed or ported box?

Definately a sealed box, my tastes differ quite a bit, I listen to a lot of ska, country, classical, jazz, r&b, rap, you name it.

But I'm going to have to wait till I get the car, I don't get it until my cousin's new one is delivered.

Budget, hahaah I don't want everyone to laugh at me. I know a good system costs a lot of money, as per the $3,000 one that got fried (yes, I read other topics) but my budget for an amp and sub wouldn't be very high.

finding a sealed box isn't a problem. I was thinking 1 10" sub would do the trick for you. $3000??? lol, that's electro!!! Are you aiming at like a couple hundred? I saw a Phoenix gold amp, i think it was 400watts rms for like $70 shipped. A sub wouldn't be that much either, prolly $80 shipped, wiring kit for like $25 and then a line out converter for say another $25.

that would put you at an even $200 without the box. How's that sound?

    Visonik VBP210 Subwoofer Enclosures

What about this, the next question is about an amp. I'm looking at probably around 350-400 as the highest I'll go.

Just want to know about the brand.

that's what i'm worried about, not enough output and it will be in his trunk so you probably won't hear that much.

If you want to run low wattage I'd recommend a nice ported box.

If you want I can sell you an EHQS 12 and a 2.5 cu ft ported enclosure for 100 dollars plus shipping.

That's a good deal... What the rms on your EHQS 12?

rated 200 watts but it can take 300 thermally no problem. In this box though all it needs is 200 watts

For burps the EHQS can take 1000 watts for a couple seconds lol.

you think that box would fit in his car? that's a very good deal if the shipping isn't so high.

I'm not sure...The box is I think 20" wide 18" tall and 18" deep maybe...I'll get some measurements tomorrow.

I'm getting dimentions on the trunk tomorrow as well... so I'll know when you know.

But I don't have the moolah right now as I kind of wait for my paychecks and I only get paid once a month. I just generally try to get some questions answered in advance.
