well most of you guys know i got a new amp. well i couldnt sleep so i went out for a midnight snack, and was playing some tunes and crancked the bass so loud my ear drums started to bother me. HOLLY CRAP!!this thing has got some power!! i was afraid of really cranking it,but the kicker took it with no probs. lets just say that on its best day my M44 could never make my 10 move soo much air.man im guessing i can hit a 138-9 easy with this amp. there is a shop near me that will let me get on its term lab for a few bucks, but the guy that runs it may let me get on for free since i helped him out at a show a few weeks back.
glad to hear you're really enjoying that beast of yours. Seems like it's the best $350 you've ever spent. that would be great if you could get on the term lab now especially if it's for FREE!!!lol if you do it, don't forget about the vids. By the way, how much does it usually cost to do something like that? I don't even think anybody has that kind of equipment here.
PHONE CAMERA FTW!! lol pedro...nice amp. I damn I want it...hell I want a lot of things. If I bought a Nine.5 it would probably go into the closet for a few years lol
it is a great amp. i've only had three really good amp brands in my time. and the ED is 1st on that list now.next to my PG's and my hifonics vulcan.
one more with a little heavier object.with the roof rack in the way its hard to video where the roof flexes the most
oh man i believe i have achieved sonic nirvana. i'm running my polk doors with the bandpass setting on my amp for just midbass and a little midrange, but more midbass. so that leaves the dash and rearfill.they are running at 80HZ hipass(6x9's) the dash have a passive 600hz hipass. the dash is in stereo at 100x2 the rears i bridged at 8 ohms mono to attenuate them a little.with the fader set at dead center it sounds just right. the rear fill is right where it needs to be and the dash speakers pick up where the doors leave off. it has a much warmer sound to it. my jazz and female vocals sound sooo much nicer like this. while i had the back end apart(remember i need to disassemble the whole false floor to make any adjustments)i had my sub disconnected. so while listening i thought the sub was on.i went to turn it down and remembered it was not hooked up.thats how much bass the doors play now. and at moderate levels they play with out audible distortion.(jazz and female vocals..most of my SQ music)but rap and bass music i have to fade to the rear a little, which lowers the doors out put. its weird but it works, and sounds nice.
and to imagine..i almost got this at 850.00 Phoenix Gold RSD Roadster 66 Amp - Limited Edition - Review Amplifier - Car Audio and Electronics Magazine
well it retails for 1200.i've seen them for 850 online. for that kind of money i could have got 2 nine.5's and run both in 3 ch mode for 350x4 at 4 ohms and the subs at 450 x2 2 ohms, but nothing in my truck would survive the power.except the subs.lol.
man can i get the coils to smell up my truck faster now.lol. not that i try on purpose.i just have to be more careful.
IMO spending 850 for one amp is a little too much. I think you made the right choice going with the eD amp. By the way, i'm going out early this morning. I going to ATTEMPT to fiberglass the well in the CRV. I hope i'll be able to find all the materials.. I'll post some pics if i'm able to start.
Nice amp Pedro. Maybe next year when I pay off some bills, I may get something like that with a pair of 12's. But I don't want to give up trunk space, so the back seat may come out and make the Crown Vic a 2 seater.
better hurry on the NINe.5... They're phasing it out, that's why eD dropped the price.. put 1 12" in and that should leave you of trunk space in your crown vic.
