ok, how i understand, you use a set of subs, put them in face to face, wire them out of phase, what i dont understand is how that setup would be any louder than a single sub? the subs are in a push/pull configuration so when the inner driver hits out, the inner driver hits in, the only thing i can think of is that with them set up like that, each sub would have to work half as hard to obtain the same sound,

has anyone ever heard 4 subs in a sealed box wit isobaik config? if there are true benefits, it would be the perfect setup for my application

you don't gain any output...just more power handling and half the box volume.

Where did you hear that isobaric loading leads to more SPL??

i didnt say anything about spl, im just very, very mis-informed...lol iso is like the japanese language to me.....i dont know sheet...lol

i would love to figure out how i could manage to pack 4 15"s in my trunk (i have 2 more of those powerbass subs (i planned on getting an suv, but i found this car for dirt cheap, and its nearly mint)

i just picked up a new amp that shouldnt have a problem pushing all 4 15's

well the only thing isoloading does is halve the vas which halves the enclosure requirements.

Well how your amp pushes the four 15's depends on the impedance of the coils on the subs and the load stability of the amp.

yea, i know, the subs are 4 ohm dvc, if i wire each sub in parallel i will acheive a 2 ohm load out of each sub, then if i wire 2 subs in parallel again i will obtain a 1 ohm load, then i can wire the other 2 up the same way, but then wire the leads from each set in series i will have a final 2 ohm load with all four subs, the amp i got is 1 ohm stable and pushes 1900w RMS at 2 ohms
