Ok guys I didn't want to start to clutter up G3's thread about other peoples boxes.

So here is a thread made to discuss enclosure designs

    width : 49"
    Depth: 40"
    Height: 19"

I the depth changed a little cuz i took the measurement from the top of the seat all the way to the rear. It also gets a couple of inches wider once you go past the wheel wells but I don't think the box will go that far forward.

I appreciate the help azn. So you were thinking about 5 cu ft. for the box, will that be an ABC box as well?

ABC box is an Aperiodic Bi-Chamber enclosure. Has two tuning frequencies. (azn's quote)

Azn, I'm going with the 15" L5 4ohm DVC. I was able to cancel the soundstream amps and I just went and got Hifonics instead. So whenever you have the time to make a design that would be great. Thanks...

I always see you going with slot ports so I guess I would just go with that. Slot ports. Thanks:)

Thank you very much azn. Is that a brace in the center of the inside on the first pic? Does it matter how big it is?

azn designs his boxes very precisely so whatever diameter that dowel rod is should be what you use. probably wont affect the sound too much but why throw off a good design?

correct me if i'm wrong but i didn't see a a measurement or diameter for the dowel rod that's why i was asking.

it would also be ok to build up the sides of the box to make a perfect fit as far as the width goes right? It really doesn't affect the box at all so i'm guessing that would be ok.

ya as long as your internal volume stays the same you can do whatever you want to the outside so long as it doesn't affect the port width length or height

that's exactly what i thought, thanks for the confirmation on that one.

Well do you want a design that spans the whole width???

That brace in the middle is a dowel rod...either 1.5 inch diameter or 2 inch diameter...whichever you can find

the width is 49". I really don't want to be a pain in the ass so I'm not going to let you do that. But if it's not a big deal then sure. I could just build it up and upholster it. I wasn't expecting it to be the whole width.

I also just noticed that when i saved the pics you labeled it 15 L7. don't know whether it would make a difference or it was just a typo but i'm going to be using an L5
