The guys on SSA said it didn't matter too, Azn. They were like if you want excursion, put it in a sealed box. They were like judging a system from a video is stupid, just meter it.

Exactly...if it is loud and the sub has little excursion. All it means is that the box has really good control over cone excursion.

It is a nice box, like you said it's big so there will be a lot less movement, give it a chance. I think if you got another amp in the future closer to your sub rating you would see the full potential of that box, and might even be happy with the bass lol.

Yeah I'm pretty p!ssed my alternator went after I ordered my amps... I picked the 1000D over the 1500D because I didn't think my alternator could handle it... now I can handle thousands of watts damn it lol.

So I blasted the Q15 a lot today and when I got home I put the car in park (stereo off) and measured my voltages. I was getting 13.99 at the alternator and 13.96 at the front battery. I kept the stereo off and drove around for 10 minutes, came back and measured it again... same voltage. Why is my voltage dropping big time? A couple days ago I was getting 14.26 at the alt and 14.22 at the front battery.

actually the voltage depends on the temperature and all that stuff...on mornings or when i start the car for the first time in the day i get bout 14.1-14.2 after the car warms up i get about 13.9-14.0 and if i play my system for some time i get down to 13.8....so youll never have like a constant voltage where every day youll get the same number.

the alternator puts out more power when it is cold than when its hot

its only a .25 volt diffrence.if it was a few volts i would start to worry.

Oh okay, good. That makes sense. In fact I remember touching the alternator by accident and it was scolding hot.

Oh yeah and my new 100.4 came in today... might wire it up tonight.

damn you you bastard...I wish people around here want to buy some decent sh!t. Most people love pyle, lanzar, pyramid, flea market crap.

I just got a friend of mine to realize what a good box can do for a subwoofer after he heard my transmission line totally RAPE his two type r 12s

lol, sounds like ebay stuff, Nice deal eazy, i'm going to try and sell my kickers for $180.00. I've been driving around with it in the back seat because i needed the trunk space, so they see it and want one and i got two people who want a system already lol.

5x7's are in the front doors running off the new 100.4 with no problems... I'm going to get another set of 5x7's for the rear...haven't decided which yet. I got my 6x9's back from my friend, but they can only be mounted from underneath (unless I cut my rear deck), and my batteries are in the way, so new 5x7's it is.

Yeah I will... but now a guy wants to trade me for my 5.25" components... he's got...

    "CDT EF 6.5" comps
satnet 480 crossovers (adds the option of a 2nd pair of tweets for imaging)
    1" silks
    150wRMS power handling crossed @ 100hz"

My components cost $100 shipped... I'm pretty sure those were well over $100 lol. That, and his tweeters are the exact same as mine so I can just leave mine in the doors and trade speakers and crossovers.

Took the box out to try to fit the 6x9's and took some pics... I also weighed the box. It weighed 141 lbs.
