Man this knukonceptz 1/0 gauge is big... I can't even fit it in the 1/0 gauge copper ring terminals from Ace Hardware without trimming a lot of the wires. I got some 2/0 gauge ring terminals today and it looks like they'll work better.

    Battle of the amp racks??

I'm thinking about losing the fuse in between the two battery positives. I was told it's not really necessary.

Do you think I need that fused power distribution block for the amp power wires?

IMO yo dont need in between the amps since thats adds resistance but since you only have bout 2 feet there i doesnt matter that mcuh, also you dont need the one in between the batteries either

This is how it looks as of right now. Basically, do I need that block fusing the amp power wires coming from the battery?

I've put the amp rack in the car, put the new alternator in, and wired up the batteries. I have to go to work but I'll post pics and give more details tonight.

right now you could hook up an MP3 player to the amps and power your home stereo for an hour or two lol

Yeah, it barely fits in the 2/0 gauge ring terminals.

Okay. I'm getting 14.25V at the alternator, I'm getting 14.18V at the front battery, and I'm getting 14.14V at both of the rear batteries (with the car idling). I just hooked up them up together and I haven't driven around much since I put the new alternator in, so I don't know if them not being fully charged has any effect on their voltages.

This is how my batteries are wired together right now...

I'm going to ground the top rear battery to the chassis when I get a chance. Azn, more people are telling me I should use a pac200, have you ever installed one?

    Me...no

You can but if you drive the car everyday than its not completely necessary.

My friend has had his two HC800s with his factory toyota battery for like 2 years without any problems...you'll be fine without em.

Also why not wire the front battery to the front rear battery for a shorter run ???

Because it's going to be wired like this, and the screw style battery posts aren't long enough to fit a lot of ring terminals and still grip the threads.

I have a pac 200 relay, i like it because when i start the car, it will be starting off of the front battery only, until i turn on my stereo. So if i ever kill the front battery i can give myself a boost by turning on the stereo first.

Well the 100.4 is hooked up... and it's not blown! so there's some good news lol.

I think I'm going to replace all my speaker wire though, this audiopipe and CDT wire is looking pretty small. I don't know how good of a quality wire it is.
