ok today i got my amp in, well sorta i got it in but the wires arent all hidden and everything yet it has just been so cold, and i hate it! But, i was playin with it and i think i need some help on setting the gain, low pass, sub sonic?, and the bass bost. i think i am pretty close to good but can u guys give me some guys give me some basic guidelines to give me an idea? and my sub sounds like sh!t in the lows but i think that is because i am usin one sub in a TINY truck box.

well its hard to make a nice sub in a crappy box sound good by just setting up the amp.

its like putting diesel fuel in a porsche 911 turbo...doesn't matter how hard you stomp the gas its gonna go like crap

For starters I'd set the lowpass between 60-80Hz.

Subsonic turn off or all the way down if it can't be turned off

    Bass boost off please.

Gain...well if you don't know what your doing than get a DMM

What coil is your sub again?

ya i like it, it hits good on the highs but it sounds like crap on the lows, but that will hopefully change once i get a new box.

extra dampening and makes the sub "see" a slightly, and I mean slightly larger box.

Your truck box now is prolly .4-.5 cu ft I'm guessing...very small

That's good... one of my friends had a 99 single cab and he took ou the center console and put two 10" kickers. Now he got an 05 quad cab.... and he's still taking out the center console and getting bucket seats in the back and lining the whole thing wit four 12" right down the middle.

subs in the center console isn't the greatest place if you want some output
