what kind of electrical do you have so far??

I would upgrade that if you haven't already before adding a 4000-5000 watt amp

a 4000 watt amp can pull well over 450 amps (give or take some) at full power

I don't think you are gonna find a good amp that will do an honest 4000-5000 watts at 1 ohm for under 1100 dollars

The amps that came to my mind were RF, Memphis, and US amps, and Hifonics....all are well over 1100 bucks.

unless you can find one used

The only one that I found that was "rated" for 4000 watts was the MA Audio HK4000D but those are overrated and power hogs

Yeah the Soundstream XXX6500D is a good solid amp.

I just remembered that the Lanzar Opti 4000D has the same board as the SS amp...it is also a solid amp thats rated at 4000 watts at 1 ohm

Hey I think My local shop has a 4000 watt amp...I'm not sure...maybe its 3000 watts but its a huge Crossfire amp....its good quality...I think the owner said something like 800 for it....i dunno...its been a while since i've been there

yea i might just go ahead and get the Sundown SAZ 3000d i was reading up on it and its rated at 3k but puts out 3200 at 10.58 volts at 1.33 ohms they sell it for 1100 i think and one of their online dealers gives almost a 300 discount

That sundown will put down 3000 watts for sure.

That Goliath is a power hog

pete aka hexibase said over on his forum he can get crossfire xp1400d's for 415 shipped all day.

strappable and put out 1800 watts at 1 ohm with a good 14.4 volts and he said 2000 watts at .5 ohms, rated for 1400 watts rms at 13.8 volts...super efficient...two can be ran with an extra battery, big three, and a mildly upgraded alt (depends on factory alt size)

I've heard nothing but good things about them...There are a few people on some other forums who are using those amps for competitions

ok kool i read a couple reviews about them but never knew people used them in comps so i guess i found my amps im gonna strap 2 ofthem together im gonna get atleast a 250 HO Alt and prolly a kinetik 1800 under the hood and a couple 2400s in the back

sounds like a badass plan...try to get the biggest alternator you can afford...two 3000 watt rms amps are gonna be sucking some juice...if you take it easy at stops i'm sure you can get away with a 250 alt and a good battery bank.

with both those amps at full tilt they'll pull over 600 amps of current....you may need a couple runs of 0 gauge wiring too

on yea the 250 was the least i might even try to run a multiple ALT system 2 300s with a kinetik 2400 up front and 2 in the back all this wont be happening for a while though cause im going to Iraq but im gonna be piecing my system together the whle 6 months
