i have built a few systems so in not totally in the dark here, but most of what i have done has been in an extended cab silverado. now i have a 2001 taurus and i am wanting some serious spl bass. im just not sure what subs and amp are right for my airspace. i now im going to have to port it no matter what it is, so its going to be massive. someone suggested the Fi BTL subs but ive never heard of them and do not trust them at all. i already have to M3s, not mojos, just 15"M3s. but i dont think they will be enough and two more just like them may take up too much space. any suggestions would be great.
have you done the big 3 yet? ran all of your cables? installed dampening material? I have seen so many times people try to do everything all at once. Planning the system on paper then start the install. power one one side of car and signal on the other side. now is a good time to do those things while you are trying to choose subs.....just a thought...
Fi BTLs in my opinion are some of the best subs for the money without a doubt. YouTube - 4 Fi BTL 18s
already did dynamat through the whole car and have all my wires run. im just wondering what subs to use. the fi btls look mean but will they beat harder than a mojo?
i was talking about the rear deck...below the back window. If the subs are in the trunk then there should a area for the sound to enter the cabin. If the back seats folded down then that just made your life easy.
i may use two 18" fi btls if its possible in my car. what kin of amp/amps will that take. and since the box will go from the trunk to the cab, should the subs be in the cab or the trunk? and which direction should they fire?
ur prolly gonna have to try different positions i have heard some of the FI SSDs and personally i think thay are great subs the BTLs i havent heard but im sure they are great because of thier basic daily driver sub is off the chain i been reading alot of reviews and seem that everyone is alot more then happy with the outcome if you get the BTL fully loaded it can take a good amount of power i would personally go between 2500-5000 per sub and of course this would require serious electrical upgrades im sure that you would be happy and and the BLs are a a lower version of the BTLs and dont require as much power only like 1500-2000
if you get a fully loaded BTL just make sure you have a stout electrical if your gonna be pushing 4000+ watts to it...if the power is dirty it'll fry quick
yea my uncle had one with 4 memphis 10s i think they was PR series if im not mistaken it sounded good too lol made me want to get one
mines an 01 ses dohc, an they make some sweet body kits for them. that dohc runs alright too, for what it is
