    what do you mean??

ok there is 2 voice coils on the subs are the top + and - coil 1 and the bottom + and - coil 2?

Also if i run my amp at 4 ohms this will NOT hurt anything? I mean I got a 2000w amp running only at 650ws at 4ohms

yeah that means they are dual voice coil subs.

Your amp will only run cooler and more efficient at 4 ohms than compared to at 1 ohm.

what are the specs of that box??

What do you want for specs? like what do i give you? All I know so far is that its abut 1ft by 1ft square each I dont know much about the box but maybe I can ask my cousin about it.

as for power I THINK I am running at 650watts. Im not sure. This is how i have Im supposed to have my subs hooked up in attachment number one but in attachment number 2 is how i have them hooked up (dont seem like much a difference to me???) Is this correct? Should be 650 watts

If those are 4 inch ports on each side and each chamber is 1 cu ft than that box is tuned REALLY HIGH unless your cousin bent those ports.

For each side to be tuned to 40Hz each port has to be about 18.5 inches long...I would suggest stuffing those ports up cuz that box is crap

Well Actually I put the ports in. The ports were originall just holes and I was told that if you got actual ports (pipe or whatever)It sounds much better. . There 8 in long each This week I'm going camping so if i see him which i should. Ill ask him specs on the box. idk who built it i think he did. The outside diameter of the pipe is 3.5" with like 1/4 in walls

I would either set the subsonic filter at 45 Hz or plug up those ports....that box right now is tuned to 56Hz...WAY TOO HIGH and prolly sounds like crap with very weak low end. plug up those ports quick

FYI...with those just holes the port tuning is 96Hz lol

Just wondering What will the subsonic do? How do i set it? play a 45hz tone and turn the knob till i cant hear it anymore?

Subsonic filter is a high pass filter...it cuts out bass...below tuning the enclosure looses control of the woofer's moving assembly and excursion goes up exponentially.

Basically if you play any songs with any big bass below like 50Hz than the sub will either bottom out so badly the former is destroyed or the sub will rip itself to shreds.

I would play a 45Hz tone at a volume where you can hear it....then slowly turn up the subsonic filter until you hear that tones volume go down...then you are set

sorry for the typos i am at another one of my cousins house and he spilled pop on his keyboard. Also my subsonic only goes up to 35hz.

yes the wiring diagrams in post #170 are correct...both are the same.

The first one parallels the woofers together while the second one parallels the woofers together at the amp terminals

figure out the internal volume...then divide one cu ft which is 1728 cu inches. That will be your internal space...For a daily driver box I would do between 2.25-2.75 cu ft per sub
