Lead Slap

    I have 1 IDQ 12 powered off 400 alpine watts that pounds pretty nice( it shakes s**t loose in my car) but at low vol. I hear lead slap and it bugs da f**k outa me. Is there any way to cure this or do I just need to get another sub?:confused:

    What kind of box is it?

    A ported enclosure will lower the excursion of the sub...an aperiodic bi-chamber box will lower excursion even more.

    I would build or have someone build you a custom ported enclosure for that sub
