sounds like that amp is VERY Nice. Looks like you're gonna have to edead the back portion of your explorer and hope you back hatch won't fall off. LOL

Prolly here in about a month...I HAVE to get a new deck. My dads friend is buying mine for 50 bucks and saving up for a new Pioneer Premier deck.

My faithful Alpine deck is not up to par anymore...only one set of rear preouts(output voltage is weak), no high pass, weak output

Once I have time I'm gonna use expanding foam to fill in the voids of the back hatch and then deaden it. I'll try to get a video also

 

Dual sucks...that MTX combo won't make your sh!t bounce at all.

 

Dual? for headunits just stick to brands like eclipse, pioneer, alpine, kenwood. Or if your like me and you don't want the big screen and you don't want to pay major $$$ look at JVC. I'm happy with my KD-AVX2.

 

There are far too many to name right now...depends on how much you wanna spend...if you REALLY want to make your truck loud than you will have to drop the cash for a custom enclosure or build one yourself.

But you have an unlimited budget you say...but you ask about getting the MTX combo to make your truck bounce???

What bass are you truly looking for an how much money do you wanna spend??

 

If i had wheelbarrows full of cash lol and i decided to go with mtx which i have had very good experiences with, way better than most of the run of the mill brands. And i wasn't going to build my own enclosure-which you should.. i would grab this.. There is also JL which seems to be the choice for the more expensive subs.

You realize that JL and unlimited budget are like two in the same. lol

If you want LOUD and still Crystal Clear... then get the JL ZR Comps. 6.5inch. for the front and back. 800 bucks a pair. but they're unlike any kind of sound. its clearer than anything you've ever heard.

as for subs. depending on price. get two JL 13.5 inch w6's with a 1000/1 amp.
If you want CRAZY bass. then get one 13.5 or 12inch W7 ran by the same amp.

If you listen to rock and any type of non-rap music, I'd recommend two 8inch W7's. ran by a 500/1. You'd be surprised how loud w7's get.

As for headunits. I love kenwood's, I've had pioneer, eclipse, and alpine.. My favorite out of them all.. kenwood.

I have a kenwood 6019. double din. if you want it (and if it'll fit your car) you can take it off my hands for 500 bucks, and its got a 3 year warrenty.

I'm about to install it into my new car, so let me know if you want it.

If i would have known you were planning to sell your headunit before i bought mine, i would have got it in a heartbeat.

 

be carefull of that website it doesn't look right to me, i just wanted to show you that box and model of subs. You should buy it from mtx or an authorized dealer close to you, you can find dealers from their website.
