hey electro.i remember seeing up to 16 subs hooked up to one of those.that means you have to be more careful in your sub selection.that thing has to be putting out more than 5 times its rated output.

so why not try a higher load on it.like 8 ohms or so.maybe the next sub/s will last a little longer.lol.

The reason gold is used in critical cirsuits is due to the fact that is is least liekly to corrodes in harsh enviorments........

Take a length of 10awg solid gold wire, and compare to the same of copper wire....the copper will outperform it everyday........SIlver is THE$ best conductor in general......

But hey...aint my electrical system!!!! aint my amp....do what ya want!!!!

That is a good ol way to run some subs....

    I did the classic Pucnh 45 on 4 12 inchers and 4 sattelites in a car once....pounded....

So many folks think that you HAVE to un multiple amps to get good sound.....that is a WRONG way to think thingsthrough in a car audio sytem...

i thoght platnum was really good.also i've heard that silver IS a better conductor, and that gold is more for corrosion resistance.like vik said.

my PG amps have gold in the boards and thry look very good for being over 15 years old on the inside.

I know viking but it's already installed lol, i will do it when i carpet the amp rack i made. I found this:

    http://www.dual-connect.com/html/precious_metals.html

    CONCLUSION
Ranking of audio cable conductor materials:
    1. Gold
    2. Silver
    3. Copper
So all audio cables should be made with pure gold as the conducting material!!

    HAHA This should be fun...!!!!!!!

It aint hard to do......the impedances have to be acurate and al will go well!!!!

You can run 300 speakers off a single amp as long as the impedance is OK..........

gold plating sucks balls...it always flakes off.

I stick with copper or non plated stuff

also gold is soo darn expensive.who could afford a long stretch of gold power wire or speaker wire.
