that's not exactly what I was asking. I was just asking what brand has the best bass as far as 6x9's go
hmmmm.thats a tough one to answer. we all ways say buy what sounds the best to you. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=264-837
Yup...right on the money. If you want the most bass out of a 6 by 9 speaker than either what he^^^ said or these http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=264-864 3 inch voice coil baby and neodymium magnet...that voice coil is bigger than most of your average subwoofers out there.
okay, so I would have that, but no tweeters to get any other sound in the back? I dunno, I kinda wanted there to be sound back there too, but I will keep these in mind
Any good 6 x 9 will do you a good job, I personally like Polk Audio. But if you really want them to perform at their best, dynomat the rear deck. That will really help. My sons car has Pioneer in the rear deck, they sound really good. A little dynomat works wonders. Anyway 6 x 9's have a fair amount of surface area to work with, so stay with the Infinitys, the Polks or Kenwoods. they will perform very well when properly mounted.
thank you, that's what I was looking for. I already have some 40 Watt pioneers in the back, but I have an Alpine amp running 70x4 Watts, so yeah, I need new speakers, and I don't want a sub, so I just wanted really good 6x9's
well just keep the gain on the rear channels low.that way you can enjoy those pionners for a little longer.
i am also lookin into some 6x9's so i figure id just use this thread to ask a quick question. are 6x9's with 2-35 watts rms any good? like are they not gonna be that loud? or have a good sound? and its only going off a HU for now.
They will do fine....what brand are they. If they are a crappy cheap brand than that number may be over-inflated
they are boston acoustics, which i believe are good. right? i doubt im getting them, but it was just for knowledge.
Boston Acoustics is good...I like em They will handle more than that if the high pass point is raised and if the power is clean
I too would need a little speaker advice. I have a 2000 Grand Marquis and I can not decide on speakers. I will be running them off a Sony Tape deck and I wanted to go to 6x9 instead of the 6x8. I want a good sound with at least decent bass but I want to keep open the option to add a sub down the road.
wow almost a year to the date. ok....well like it says in the post's.proporly sealed most 6x9's should give you some good bass in a trunk.
tape deck??? You aren't going to get any good sound quality or output with a tape deck. But you can make the best of it by properly mounting the speaker if you want good sound I would suggest save up your money and get a decent cd player
