I just wanna let you know that is the only purpose for these subs. They have no sound quality capability what so ever. They also must be driven at RMS Rating to perform at there best.

Also the recommended enclosure volume for those subs is around 5 to 10 cu ft each. Thats right between 5 to 10. Port tuning needs to be around 50 to 60 Hz depending on the install. Subsonic filter at 30Hz is a must (24dB/octave)

These are NOT sound Q woofers by any stretch of the imagination.

Those subs are for high school kids who want to impress the girlies with the boom. :)

I don't think you will get much boom boom rap bass from these in a box tuned at 50-60 Hz

From I Ranger says these are Fart subs

These subs, like the Vega Strokers, are One Note Wonders. These subs are made for winning SPL competitions and thats all they were designed for. I doubt seriously if they could handle day to day play time.

But if you wanna win a sound off, Get one, put it in a huge ported box, put around 5000 watts per voice coil on it (it will take it) and belch out between 55 and 65 hertz (depending on car) and you will place. Probably first place.

Wanna have fun, scare all the neighbors, terrify all pets in a 1/4-mile diameter. Park the vehicle under a car port, belch it at competition volume for about 5 seconds. Trust me its great.:D

    Till the cops show up:eek:

lol...i'm guessing the car port roof resonates the sound and amplifying it???

    You better believe it

****ed off a bunch of neighbors. Scared them to death. I really should do it at 6 AM on some Saturday

    It was funny

Made the wife mad too. Knocked a bunch of pictures of the walls and some knick knacks on the window sills

These are very good SPL drivers...this is not a woofer you would want for everyday listening. I'm guessing they are going for cheap because they stop making them some years ago.

Ranger has two of these but 18's I think...in his van.

These are for burping tones in competitions
