So you think around 250 is good....one of them is in really good condition and the other one is in good condition 'cept there is a pretty good scrape about 2 inches long on one of the cooling fins...like it looks like someone took a belt sander to it but that is the only flaw

250 seems a little steep to me. They are "old" after all.....

I am trying to remember what we sold them for new years ago, seems like they were around 400 bucks best i recall. I would offer them 125 bucks a peice for them and go from there. or 100 bucks apeice with no warrenty. If they are shot in the ass, they could be repaired for probably less than 100 bucks a pop.

Of course they are getting harder to come by nowadays too.....

Yeah I thought that was pretty steep...I remember seeing them there last year...I guess no one will buy em cuz they rip people off by buying sh!t for 20 bucks and selling it for 100

thats how pawn shops make thier money.is that 250 each or for the pair.

i goy my M44 at my local pawn shop for 95 even. i see them on ebay every now and then for 200. starting price.

so can anyone help me out on how to convert voltage out at the speaker terminals to wattage?

again 39.3 peak voltage from the sub amp.battery voltage was a steady 13.6somthing.

    http://www.soundbuggy.com/Eric/Car Audio/phoenix_gold/m_series/m25/index.html

this guy says the M25 is 100x2.puting out 20volts.so............what does39.3volts =to? i would really like to know.

    Ohms law I guess
    Volts^2/Ohms

    So say 39 volts squared = 1521/2 ohms = 760.5 watts output

that cant be right.cause it absolutly slams now that i have all the rca's pluged into the 4ch amp.(it has a built in low pass out for an outboard amp.it sums the output from the front in's. i only had one rca in the front and one rca in the rear in.the front is the right ch,and the rear is the left.)

before the max out was 25volts.that was loud.but at 39volts its a ton louder.and you say 175 watts.shiit then what the hell would the 450 rms sould like.lol

He said in theory...but there is not a consistant impedance of 2 ohms....it varies with the frequency...but using ohms law it came out to 175.5 watts..but I'm not sure

Why would you divide 210 by 29 then multiply that by 39.3???

    Nvm....watts/volts= amps

well he said the amp put out 29 volts.and that equaled 210 watts.so when i divided that. it gave me 7.214.

    so i multiplied 7.214 x 39.3 and got 283.512.

    opps 7.241

    SH!T....I screwed up big time

Pedro with an output of 39 volts rms(not peak) at 2 ohms you're getting 760 watts rms

    wow.but the 39 volts was its peak.was a continuous 50hz sine wave.

i played regular music and it was bouncing from 8.5 all the way to 39volts.and stayed some where in the middle about 22-26 some thimes.depending on the bass notes.

so if you say 760..then cool.that would be its peak output.

Well what was the constant voltage at the terminals while playing the sine wave??

yes it was. i could have gotten more but holy hell the 39 was loud as phuck. and the gain is at less than half.!

how do you know when it clips?what would it do?

now that i remember i did crank the gain and saw a 48volt peak.and how did you figure the 760.i'm BAD with math.it's my kriptonite.

Um...just took volts squared then divided by ohms.

Well you said you were playing music and saw a peak of 39 volts so I wasn't sure about if that was during music or a straight sine wave

    well both really.

i set the gain to get the 39 on the sine wave.then i played some bass mecanik and saw it again.

BUT....... it was at diffrent volumes.

ok did the math and got...551.cause the sub mesured 2.8 ohms on the meter.no signal.

But at 50Hz I really don't know what impedance the sub is showing...You can enter the parameters into WinISD and see what impedance the sub is showing at 50 Hz

ok i see what your saying.will check in the morning.now that i have full power coming from the amp when i'm in the truck with the engine running and that tone playing my sis said the house was shakeing.windows up too.lol

I took a freakin snare drum to a pawn shop once to see what they would give me.....Now this drum was only a couple years old....It was a top of the line maple snare drum with a black lacquered paint job on it.....It was a $425.00 drum....Guy asked if I had a stand for it...I said I was not selling a stand, just the drum....He said without a stand it would not be likely to sell....he offered my $30.00 for it......I told the guy to **** up a rope....

They can be a good place to buy a piece of gear, but if you are selling it....forget it.....I saw a tape deck in a pawn shop that you could tell had been in a room with a fire (since the door was warped from heat) and they were asking $100.00 for it.....I just laugh.......If someone brings in a piece and sells it and the Pawn shop don't know how expensive it is...you COULD get a deal, but even then it is doubtful.....
