hey ranger im sure thers other people you could be helping, you seem like a knawlegable guy you really dont need to be on this thread, like i said thers others . if people are still willing to help why not. when they get tired theyll stop. im not sure what sq, spl, is i listen to lots of rap and i really dig the deep bass, not so much the loud bass.i was hopeing for a single 12. guys when your done and over with helping me simply stop posting threads untill then i really apreciate all the help. like i said my price limit is 300$ with a sub that will handle about 600 to 800watts rms.

If your looking for a 12 @600-800rms, I can get you a SE12 for $170 shipped. No box though. It's better to build one @ the right specs. I do not own the sx15. I've a friend who bought two from me and man do they sound good.

For one reason or another people think its all about the speaker, well its not. Its 90% enclosure and only 10% product. One of the problems in this industry is the fact that the consumer is so badly informed, that he is almost brainwashed into thinking that JL is better than PowerBass. Not true. Different characteristics, different requirements, Yes. Better NO.

You can make a good choice if you do a little research instead of listening to just brand recommendations. What works in one situation (car and enclosure) may not work well in another.

You what to hit low, stop looking at speakers. Look at a ported enclosure, sized a little on the large side, tuned properly. Don't believe me, download WinISD, load a speaker into the program and watch the graph as enclosure size is increased (to a point).

    nuff said for now

For what it's worth, Ranger has given nothing but great advice, and is willing to help anyone do a PROPER job. Of course, he isn't the only one I have read here that does, but he is the gentleman that was highlighted in this deal.
