Make sure you get a few other opinions on that amp before you get it!!!!!!!!!!

Just running 3 inchers in the dash aint gunna give you much inthe way of highs!!!!!! especially if they are run on deck power, might wanna think about a decent set of front speakers !!!!!!!

14 awg wire will work fine on your subs, but it dont hurt anything to go bigger, just cut into your budget some more....

Be sure to get enough wire to upgrade your electrical system, The Big 3......

my stock speaker size on the front are the 3.5"s

what else could I do in the front for speakers, what do you think of the infinity kappa 32.7cf's?... any suggestions

I read a lot of online reviews on that amp... seems that everyone has nothing but good reviews for that amp

A few option for more sound up front would be to cut the doors and install speakers in them, perhaps some 6.5 or 6x9's in the rear sides along with the 3 inchers in the dash, maybe a 6 in the door and tweeter in the dash.... But i really dont hink you would be happy with JUST 3 inch coaxes in the dash for your highs!!! i know you just want it loud, more so than any real sound quality i presume, but you gotta be able to listen to the upper end of the music if you are to have ANY enjoyment out of your sysem!!!! Just listening to BOOOOOM, BOOOOOOOOOOM all day gets really old and tiring!!!

I forgot to mention I have audiobahn 4x10's in the rear already that are running off 4 channel amp... I was planning to put the infinity's in the dash to compliment the highs... but now that you mention it... I should look into additional speakers in the doors.

i went to the crutchfield site they say a 6x9 will fit in the door.so will a 6.5.also says a 4in will fit in the kick panel.

so if you want loud do a 6x9 in the door.wouldent hurt to put that 3 1/2 in the dash either.

Just to let everyone who was helping me out... This is the setup I decided to start with... Everything should be at my door on Tuesday

I decided to build my own box... I talked to Kickers Tech Support on the phone and they explained the ideal box dimensions for these 15"s.

I've already built the box and it is a WHOPPER ... Its 10 cubic foot area on the inside + the 2 port areas. My box is made of 3/4 MDF and is braced and screwed and glued and siliconed to perfection. It ended up being 49" X 25.75" X 18" which is just friggin huge. I did the dual bandpass style with the long ports on each end of the box.

I'll let you all know how it sounds on tuesday or wednesday. Now I'm off to work on the "Big 3" and my electrical system to get it up to par.

Okay... I've been tracking my subs and amp and they'll be here tomorrow.

I spent lastnight removing all my old car stereo crap and have everything preped for the install.

I upgraded my "big 3" with 4 gauge wire as it is suggested on the site.

Now my only question is... How do I need to wire the subs to the amp I got?

I always get confused about the series and parallel connections...

I want to wire it up to put 480 watts to each sub as the crutchfield tech guy said I could do with this amp.

So can someone tell me very detailed of how I need to make the connections to get this hooked up correctly...

    A diagram would help greatly

    Thanks,

    Isaiah

Well wire each speaker to a channel. Then daisy chain the positives on each sub to the pos on a channel...then do the same for the negative terminals.

Parallel is just paralleling the same terminals...all pos to pos and all neg to negs

WOW... I'm in amazement of how hard those subs actually hit... stayed up till late in the night lastnite getting all the wires run perfectly... it sure takes a while running wires in a vehicle thats as long as a suburban...

The subs sound great and the profile amp has no problem pushing them...
Thanks to upgrading the "big 3", it looks like my alternator is going to have no problem at all generating enough power for my amp... My lights dont even dim and this amp is double the size of my last one.

I appreciate all of your guys help and advice. I still have my infinity dash speakers to install, and I have many more plans for my truck.

    Thanks,

    Isaiah
