Kicker 750.1 amp...what kind of subs/box?

There's nothing called an excursion graph on my version, and I can't seem to get a smoother response curve with 40Hz than that...no matter what volume I use.

If you guys can make one with a good response curve tuned at 40Hz let me know. Basically all I'm looking for is 40" in width, 14" in height, and something under 20" in depth. I'd also like the vent(s) to be a 12.5" tall rectangle for easy building (height of box minus MDF top and bottom).

Well with your dimensions you have about 5 cu ft avaliable.

Plug this into your program....box volume of 3 cu ft tuned to 32 Hz...pretty deecntly smooth curve with a peak at 40 Hz...with your box earlier the peak was at 50 Hz and F3 was higher.

With this box the peak is at 40Hz, F3 of 26Hz, cone excursion doesn't go outta control until 26Hz with 400 watts rms put to it

When I do it, I get an f3 of 28 and a peak of 43-44.

Okay, if I do 40"W x 14"H x 13"D, and use 3/4" MDF, I get 3.20276 cubic feet of interior volume. When I plug that into winISD and tune it to 32Hz, I get 27.59Hz as my f3 and 42.6-43.91Hz as my peak with one vent 1" wide, 12.5" tall, and 5.31" long (port interior volume of .04 cubic feet if my math is correct)...giving the sub 3.16 cubic feet + port displacement.

Um....WinISD does not account for port displacement or any other things....only useable area.

Everything else must be added in

Heres what I have for you...perfect box.

    Exterior Dimensions
    Width - 39"
    Heigth - 14"
    Depth - 14"

    Internal Volume before port displacement
    - approx. 3.4 cu ft

    Port Dimensions
    - 12.5" heigth x 2" width x 17.75" length

    Port Displacement
    - Approx. .35 cu ft

Total useable area 3.04 cu ft

    Tuning approx. 32 Hz

Port is on left face of baffle running down side and along back wall

P.S. Eazy, that 1 inch diameter port is too small...it would sound like dog ass around port tuning...not enough cross sectional area

When I try that myself on winISD, I can't seem to get the same port length.

Eazy...you put in 3.4 cu ft as the box volume...I said enter 3 cu ft as the volume. WinISD does not account for anything but useable area...after you know what you want on winisd you have to add the port volume.

lol i had to quote myself for you to actually read it

    But still...when I plug in 3 cubic feet and 32 Hz and 2"x12.5" port...I get a port 16.19" long.

Well I have the .50a7 version...its better than yours lol. Has impedance graphs, cone excursion, port velocity and much more.

trust me its about 17.75 long....well 17.71 but hell it won't make a difference

With the 12.5 by 2 inch port 16.19 inches long the tuning will be 33.18Hz

I'm not sure why your's say that and mine says different...I've even checked Rangers box he designed for me and it is spot on when I plug the box into my versin of WinISD...he has the same as me
